# Opening reconstruction QA

Result: passed for local reconstruction review. Exact, all-frame pixel equivalence is not certified.

## Evidence and scope

The reconstruction covers the hero, shipments introduction and connected freight narrative through crane, truck, road, ship, clouds and aircraft. The source DOM uses five connected wrappers for these experiences. Research evidence is in `../research/united-carriers/second-pass/`, including the frame manifest, viewport captures and measured geometry.

Local evidence is in `outputs/reference-opening/`. `desktop-comparison.jpg` and `phone-comparison.jpg` place reference and implementation together. These are visual review sheets, not pixel-difference tests: water/cloud/globe phases vary with time; some desktop screenshots were captured during immediate seeks or after viewport changes. In particular the sheet's crane row must not be treated as a matched-frame assertion. `desktop-crane-y6000.png` is the verified side-view hydraulic lift. The later `desktop-y6040.png` was captured after a viewport change and is not equivalent to the reference's 1440×1000 y6040 state.

## Fidelity surfaces

| Surface | Verification |
| --- | --- |
| Layout and spacing | At 1440×1000 the local hero height is 2500px, intro starts at 808.34px, service at 3084.40px, why at 16458.90px and aircraft wrapper at 21740.80px; these closely match captured source geometry. |
| Typography | Original local fonts, responsive rules and inline shared styles retained. Maverick navigation and factual copy intentionally differ. |
| Media | Captured render sequences and original truck, tyres, ship, clouds and aircraft are packaged locally. No replacement AI stills were used. |
| Motion and transitions | Inspected side-view hydraulic lift, truck, overhead road turn, centered white-container handoff, procedural ocean/wake and side-entering aircraft. Original scene timing and render modules retained. Immediate jumps can initially display the nearest decoded frame while the target loads. |
| Responsive behavior and interaction | Fresh 390×844 hero/menu checked. Phone crane at y3300, truck at y5000 and reverse seek to y3300 rendered correctly after the shared-canvas fix. Company navigation leaves the iframe for the existing page; Back returned to a ready opening document. |

## Fixes from review

- Retained shared inline CSS required for the source rem scale.
- Restored desktop document scrolling after initialization.
- Localized map/ocean dependencies and every manifest asset.
- Replaced reference statistics, customer identities and selected unsupported operational claims with Maverick process copy.
- Rebuilt scenes on same-breakpoint resize and reload across responsive breakpoints.
- Preserved the runtime on persisted pagehide events.
- Invalidated the mobile shared-canvas frame cache on resize and reconciled lift/rotation ownership, verified on cold and reverse seeks.

## Validation and limits

- 24 project tests passed after the final runtime change; both opening package tests passed.
- Production build completed successfully. Build emits existing large-chunk and route-classification notices.
- TypeScript check passed during implementation and the repeated final check completed successfully.
- Independent code review is recorded in `docs/opening-code-review.md`; all three important findings were resolved.
- No publication or export was performed. Assets and captured rendering code retain their original provenance and terms; the asset ledger is `public/opening/asset-manifest.json`.
- Continuous globe/ocean motion follows the reference; comprehensive reduced-motion parity and measured 60 FPS on physical devices are not claimed.
- Browser automation became intermittently unavailable during final capture attempts. The saved verified desktop and phone states remain the review evidence; a complete every-frame automated comparison is outside the completed validation.
